But now that he did it it is really awesome. He is sore today but happy. His family was there and made signs, Nordel met him in Veyo and had signs along the road. Lani met him in Diamond Valley with ibuprofen.
Kelly and Rinar's condo is a block away from the finish line which was great. Mom and Dad Erickson, Brooke and kids sat on the balcony overlooking the race. Kelly biked up the course checking on Lyf. He was feeling great until about mile 22 when his feet started hurting, he just kept going. He said that the last mile was harder than the first 20 combined. Being at the finish line is pretty neat, it ALMOST makes me want to do it. ALMOST.
Good job Lyf! You are an inspiration! 41 years young and going strong! We love you!
